How to Install python-xdg software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

python-xdg software package provides Python 2 library to access freedesktop.org standards, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-xdg

python-xdg is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-xdg package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-xdg *
